Why we created this site...

In January of 2007 my wife and I quit our jobs to travel the country for a few months before starting our family. This was our last hurray and we were determined to do it right. We started doing research on how to add all the amenities that we would need for our new 5th Wheel. We wanted to be able to stay in remote locations without having to rely on campgrounds or RV parks. Since my wife was teaching online we also needed Internet access wherever we went. The plan was to add: solar electricity, solar charger, mobile Internet, wireless connectivity, an inverter, upgraded batteries w/increased capacity, cell phone antenna, cell phone repeater, satellite HDTV, flat panel HDTV, satellite radio, optimized storage plus whatever else we could think of to make our trip comfortable.

Although we were able to find information on the Internet, we could not find a single site devoted to documenting RV modifications. Therefore, we started this site to share our experiences and document our modifications and experiences for others to benefit from. In addition we decided to start an online store where others could buy the products that we discussed if they wanted to implement the same upgrades and wanted help support our site.

In addition to the modifications we documented, you will also find general information about RV'ing that we felt others could benefit from.
